TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Nick Viaggio

Altona Magic are pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Viaggio as Technical Director for 2023.

Nick Viaggio will lead our coaching and player development programs across 2023.

Whilst Nick is not new to Altona Magic with him previously coaching a number of our junior teams, this will be Nick’s first appointment as a TD and we look forward to the results he wishes to deliver.

As an accomplished coach who operates his own academy whilst also coaching at the highly ranked Maribyrnong College, Nick’s credentials are extensive. Nick is also the technical skills coach for the NTC girls program in Victoria, which we are sure will be advantageous as we look to build this part of the club.

Nick’s goals for 2023 are to create competitive teams with a focus on player development aimed at ensuring that Altona Magic juniors can transition into our senior set-up in both 2023 and beyond.

UNDER 21’s COACH

Vojne Angelevski

This will be Voj’s 5th consecutive year with AMSC.

He continues to be passionate with a positive environment where players can thrive as individuals and as part of a team.

Voj is looking forward to working closely with the senior coaching staff in fostering the next generation of players for the senior team.

UNDER 18’s COACH

Vojne Angelevski

This will be Voj’s 4th consecutive year with AMSC.

UNDER 16’s COACH

Jared Svaljek

Jared is well known to many in the football community being part of Melbourne Victory’s JNPL teams and academy programs for many years. Jarod will bring significant experience to Magic.

The Altona Magic Executive wish Jared every success for the upcoming season and are excited to see the development of our junior players.

UNDER 15’s COACH

Andrew Rawlinson

Andrew who grew up in Liverpool England joins us from Hoppers Crossing where he coached at both junior and senior level in 2022.

UNDER 14s COACH

Rex Vo

Rex will lead our U14’s NPL team in 2023.

Rex needs no introduction to the Magic family having coached at Altona for the last few years.

Rex’s goal for the U14’s team this season is to make up for lost time in 2020 and 2021 and continue developing individual skills while preparing the boys as a team for the jump to NPL and full pitch play.
